Një kohë të gjatë është spekuluar se Ibrahim Rugova është konvertuar në fenë katolike. Madje, mediat kishin shkruar se ish-presidenti është pagëzuar me emrin Pjetër. Por, në një prononcim, Rexhep Boja, ish-kryetar i BIK-ut, u dha fund krejt këtyre spekulimeve. Tha se ai ia lau xhenazen Rugovës.
Po, unë ia kam la xhenazen edhe ja kam falë namazin e xhenazes presidentit Rugova
tha Boja. Duke mohuar zërat që presidenti ishte konvertuar në fenë krishtere.
Ky debat u hap edhe mbrëmë në emisionin ‘Pressing’, i ftuar ishte edhe kryeimami i Kosovës Naim Tërnava.
Lidhur me temën, Tërnava tha se Rugova është varrosur me ceremonitë fetare islame.
