Zgjedhjet kur Ibrahim Rugova dhe LDK-ja dilte fituese dhe PDK-ja e dyta (Foto – Dokument)

Zgjedhjet e vitit 2001 ishin zgjedhjet e para parlamentare pas luftës në Kosovë. Këto zgjedhje i fitoi bindshëm LDK-ja duke siguruar 45% të votave. Derisa PDK-ja ishte forca e dyte politike në vend, me vetëm 25%. E AAK-ja doli e katërta me vetëm 7.83% të votave.
Me 45% të votave, LDK-ja siguroi 47 deputetë. PDK-ja 26 deputetë dhe AAK-ja vetëm 8.
Kujtojmë se atë kohë, kandidatët për deputetë nuk zgjidheshin me votë nga sovrani sepse listat ishin të mbyllura. Nga kjo nënkuptojmë se deputetët e LDK-së, janë zgjedhur automatikisht nga numri i parë në listë deri tek i 47-i.
Pas konstituimit të Kuvendit, postin e presidentit e fitoi lideri i LDK-së Ibrahim Rugova i cili u zgjodh më 2 mars 2002. Pozitë kjo që u mbikqyr nga UNMIK-u.
Serbët në këto zgjedhje u përfaqësuan nga koalicioni “Kthimi”.
Parlamenti i Kosovës kishte vetëm 100 ulëse, 20 nga të cilat i fituan minoritetet.
